Mikka Pitkanen has been charged with pedophilia. Police knocked on the door to find Mikka with the boys engaged in sexual activities. The two boys were told to get dressed and were escorted to the station for questioning, during which time, two representatives from the Pattaya Orphanage were present. The boys, who cannot be named, told police that they were with the foreigner willingly and that they perform sexual acts 2-3 times per day. They said that Pitkanen gave them between 100-200 baht per day and they used the money to buy glue and drugs. It was also revealed that Pitkanen met the boys in Bangkok and that he visited them every 3 months. Police charged Mikka Pitkanen with sexual assault of children under 15, taking children from their parents or guardians and sexual knowledge of a minor under 15 regardless if the act was consensual or not. --------- What a fucker ! Posted March 15, 2005 Report Share Posted March 15, 2005 I cannot find the articles online, but buried in the both the Nation and the Post last Friday were stories of some 61 year old scumbag busted in the Penthouse Hotel with a 15 year old gal. It seems that he offered her B5K to take pix and screw. She was seen with him in her high school uniform going into the hotel by a Education Ministry offical who called the MiB. Zorro Posted March 15, 2005 Report Share Posted March 15, 2005 I am not sure that you can class a liason with a 15 year old girl as paedophilia although the behaviour of a 61 year old man with a girl dessed up in school uniform certainly raises a few questions. Isn't the age of consent 15 or 16 in Thailand? Plenty of 15 year olds could pass for 17 or 18 couldn't they? Certainly many Thais dont seem to have any problems with having sex with women this age. In fact they prefer them younger in many cases. I have been taken by Thais to Thai brothels and they have encouraged me to take the 15 and 16 year olds. I prefer my women a bit older and the Thais cannot understand why i would want a 29 year old when i could have a 15 or 16 year old. So before all you guys start shouting paedophile, hang him by his balls, let him rot in prison etc just think about this situation and what actually goes on in Thailand. AFP Taken from today's Bangkok Post. ----------------------------- What irks me is some seem to try or want to show that this is prevelent here in the "east", more so than in the "west". I feel this is a western "prejudice" by smug and superior feeling "sophisticats" and a bit of sophistry. Should I go on? In today's paper in Saudi Arbia a father was sentenced to caning and jail for raping his 12 year old daughter. I've seen something on this subject almost every day in the papers, from ALL over the world. It is happening everywhere, not just in Thailand, or Cambodia, or Vietnam, but everywhere. And not just by white western males either. So, really, "it still happens right next to you ... TOO!!!!!" JMHO on this. And yes, it is wrong and it sucks, and anyone with, or who has had, a young daughter KNOWS that while a girl may physically be a woman now, having gone through puberty and able to bear children, that a 15 year old, or 16, 17 even, is too young to let older sophisticated men prey on their gullibility and naivete'. Also I feel there is a big difference in say a 30, 40, 50, 60 year old man doing this with a 15 year old girl, and say an 18, 19, or 20 year old kid falling for a 15 or 16 year old. (some boys being late in their maturity rates and much closer maybe in mental age to a younger girl.) And as far as national/cultural ages of consent go, each society has its laws according to its culture and sophistication and ALSO it's age of death rates. The reason the age of consent was so low in a lot of European countries for so many centuries is that the average man and woman didn't LIVE much over the age of 45 or 50. As the age of normal/natural death has climbed higher and higher in third world countries due to superior medical advances and treatment to mostly match western countries, their laws and cultural habits have yet to catch up to this fact. Some use this, or at least used to be able to, to skirt the age limits set (set rightfully at 18 in my belief) in their western countries by going to third world countries to have sex with under 18 women/girls/boys. I myself am happy he got caught, was happy to see it was a Thai official who noticed this and called the police, and am happy the dirty old bugger is finally behind bars in the monkey house where he can no longer prey on under-age girls/boys to satisfy his sick tendencies. Of course, peadophilia happens everywhere, nobody denies this. But the post is about travelling half way across the world to pay to get little boys. One of the infamous reputations of Pattaya. That is my point. Its not because it also happens elsewhere that nobody can highlighten what happens right there in LOS. Two wrongs does not make one right, I am sure we all can agree to that. And I posted only one such example, but I am sure the last 2-3 weeks many of those stories and arrests made the newspapers and the internet.
