Actually I am glad you posted this as, not only did it give me a chance to explain my site of the story, it has set me thinking. I am aware that this redesign / restructuring is too big a job for Jigger and me. The input I am getting so far has already provided me with a couple of nice insights (thanks, guys, please keep them coming), but I think more involvement from those who will be using this is required. So, what I am planning is to set up an (temporary) private board and invite different people from the board in there to help out. I am looking for a few each of the following: - webdesigners - graphic designers - people with marketing / advertising background - user interface designers (there may not be any here) - prolific posters with no real IT background - lurkers (this might be difficult ) - some expats, some tourists, old hands & newbies - people with no computer skills at all Basically I want to create a group of people who I can turn to for advice as well as to help test and comment on what we are doing. This group needs to be as diverse as the message board. Periodically I will post updates on the open board to show what is going on, and will request feedback. The pictures would be mainly on the site I would imagine (quite difficult to intersperse them on the board). This is always a rather thight line for us to walk, some people want more pics (likely even including full nudity) while others prefer less pics (and certainly no nudity). Hard to please all Sanuk! First there are enough places with nude and hardcore shots from Thai girls. Second I would not do it for your own protection and the protection of the board. You just have to read the news on Mr. T's "porn crackdown". It would be very bad, if this board could not accessed from LOS anymore (or only through proxies)....
