Whitney
Whoever is found guilty taking part in these bombings will probably wish they were dead by the time they get transported to prison, if they even make it that far. Hell on earth would probably be their existence
Bangkoktraveler
[color:red] Six foreigners injured in new Bangkok blast[/color] BANGKOK: Seven people, including six foreigners, were injured in a new bombing in Bangkok before midnight after a series of blasts forced the cancellation of New Year celebrations, police said Sunday. "The bomb exploded in a telephone booth opposite Central World Plaza. The injured have been sent to the police hospital. Six foreigners and one Thai were injured," Colonel Vanlop Patummaung told Thai television. "We don't know when the bomb was placed there, because we had carefully searched the area before the party," he said. Another bomb exploded on a pier that sits on a canal alongside the plaza, but no injuries were immediately reported, he said. Article found HERE. Bangkoktraveler
I hear one bomb went off in the Siam Paragon movie theatre. Anybody hear anything about that?
TheBelgianDog
Been taking a tour of BKK today. Seems that there are 7 bombs that exploded. Police is trying to push away foreigners from nanaplza, cowboy and patpong. I feel lucky that they did not come in my bar's area to chase foreigners by fear they get "exploded" More to come tomorrow but certainly bad news for many sectors of the thai economy. Old Hippie
I have been to 4-5 of those areas myself. Best seafood, Sukhumvit Soi 62, Khao Sarn, and Central world, and Victory Monument...not good! Won't deter me though.
Coss
Elef, I agree with you, though having said that, news here in NZ (from an Australian channel) says " not thought to be militants " Cheers Coss
Bangkoktraveler
It appears the bombs were directed more toward the police and from what I see from the pictures, it doesn't look like the bombs were very powerful. So was it Mr. T. trying to regain what he lost? Next question, are more bombs planned?
