limbo
That;s how I actually ended up in Vimonmek, just strolled over from the zoo with too much time at hand. Remember an army guy picking me out of the crowd outside of the palace/building, on my way out of the compound and he wanted to practice his English with me. Old Hippie
"...Remember an army guy picking me out of the crowd outside of the palace/building, on my way out of the compound and he wanted to practice his English with me..." You fell for that line too? ND, I might like the penguins! But the rest of the zoo basically blows chunks as far as animals go...but, as a walk around park, it is nice...and a fun place to walk around, didn't quite mean to trash it. I need to see the Royal Elephant museum as well...

shygye
The food court at the zoo is very good. Plus no double pricing for farang for zoo admission.
Toucanzoo
It is the largest teak house in the world! Vimanmek mansion is very close to Dusit Zoo and if you have google earth you can see it clearly. It is a nice place to visit and the entrance is free if you go to the museum. Nervous_Dog
<> Yes there is, always has been. I've only ever once paid the farang price, but at all the ticket booths it's 100 baht farang and 50 baht thai. Sunday I paid 100 baht for my mum, and I paid 50 baht for myself DOG
Toucanzoo
The time I went to the Dusit zoo must have been a special cos I paid 70 baht and accompanying girl paid nothing. Definately a doubel standard charge at the dusit zoo.
