Nana Plaza end of an era?

According to Stickman it is. He mentions Big Mango closing and the demise of Hog's Breath. Also Cathouse has never been quite the same since the 100 baht Chang special. It was game over for me when Hollywood stopped the frog show. When did you see the writing on the wall?

On second thoughts maybe it was when they drained the fish tank in Mermarium....or maybe the shower show at G-Spot...happy days...

if a few places leave whats thhe big deal ?

How many empty bars are there in NAna with no lease being paid ?

Nana will really be "dead" when the empty bars stay empty for 6-12 months or are rented out to other businesses like Tatoo parlors, Travel agents , or Buffalo doctors :)

Sure its not like it was, but neither is the customer base, an expats are not thr free spending customers they are aiming at !

Oh no, The end is near! How many times has the death of nana been predicted in the last 5 years? I remember a poll some years back on this board where most people voted it would be bulldozed by now, but there it is still totally rented out with ever increasing rental prices and Rainbow 4 (formerly Woodstock) apparently went for an unheard of number of millions of baht. Was it 40 million?

While Stick is right about what he says, you gotta keep in mind it's all from an expat point of view. But mostly Nana seems to draw tourists and as long as money is pouring out of ones wallet, it's just as fun as ever. And the LT to ST switcheroo has been going on forever.

Ok so what really has changed? prices have gone up, good eats have left making it more one dimensional gogo than ever, shows are mostly gone, showing is mostly gone, ages of girls has gone up, katoey bars have doubled. Ok, so probably no real good news there, but to a tourist the place is still sort of a heaven on earth compared to options at their home town.
