Faustian
There are many who can stop it, but they wont....power is sought! With that power comes a lot of money and tremendous influence. This is Thailand, you have power and you can do what you want. Lots of folks want that, no one is going to give that up. This is the inevitable result when control of the government is the one and only way to obtain wealth and security. The answer is limited government. drogon
-> limited government like in the US I suppose? Still did not understand that the US model doesn't seem to work everywhere? limited government which lead to the biggest crisis since 1929 yeah great... Give too much liberty to wankers, six pack joes or traders and then you have the result... Yes freedom is important but many people seem to understand freedom as "freedom to do whatever I want and then fuck the economy and other people"
rogueyam
limited government which lead to the biggest crisis since 1929 yeah great... Lack of regulation did not cause the credit crunch, rather excess and ill-designed regulation did. Those who imposed these ill-designed regulations are now using the inevitable result of their misdeeds as an excuse to make the situation worse. Their goal is to destroy private enterprise and wealth and enslave all to the government. Wittingly or unwittingly, you are helping them accomplish this goal. You just prove yourself to be an flaming idiot who has no clue with that statement. What a moron. Thank (whatever deity you prefer) that your people are finally out of power. rogueyam
Thank (whatever deity you prefer) that your people are finally out of power. It has been a LOOOONNNGGGG 30 years! Leftists believe that putting a different party, leader, or ideology in power "changes everything". We conservatives know that, as Lady Thatcher famously said, "the facts of life are conservative". We conservatives haven't gone anywhere, although this is certainly not our moment. We do know, however, that we'll be back in the saddle eventually. The only question is how much worse will the leftists succeed in making things in the meantime.
..
Talk to the hand. The unassailable proof is in the shape of the economy after 30 years of GOP control. Any intelligent being knows this, including my dog. Sorry, I know this leaves you out. But trust me. Cheers, SD
