drogon
SD is right, this one might be one of the best choices in BKK...
Faustian
Just called them, they aren't doing a special xmas menu as such, only for xmas eve. Love the wine list....drooling.... As u guys know, money not an issue, also it's xmas so sensible spending goes out the window for me, I like to celebrate!...venue/food/atmosphere are my only concerns. I think I will take the le-banyan option. It looks great! Cheers SD and all who helped out. Much appreciated, will report back on my experience there. drogon
Le Banyan: Venue: Great Food: Good Atmosphere: Never had a bad suprise Price: Price ok for what you get 5 stars hotels: Venue: So so Food: Ok but nothing special Atmosphere: Bad, especially when there are buffets on offer Price: Overpriced for what they offer Enjoy your dinner -> why you didn't order food by phone (some restaurants must have a "christmas special" menu. Set up the table at home, candles, cleaning a bit the surroundings, set up nice music, nice lightings -> far more intimate and private (or maybe you are as lazy as I am?) khunsanuk
Hi, Odd that an expensive place like that has a seriously crappy website. Sanuk!
..
KS: Aye, that they do, but certainly no reflection on anything else there! Faussie: Be sure to try the "Pan-fried foie gras with durian, reduction of Xeres vinegar aromatized with Cognac" -- awesome! Cheers, SD

samak
2001 Gevrey-Chambertin Pierre Olivier 4990.-2002 Chassagne-Montrachet Pierre Olivier 3800.- 2001 Nuits-Saint-Georges Pierre Olivier 6500.- the second is a white wine; the other two are red! good ones but not top wines from burgundy like Romanee Conti, Richebourg or Charmes Chambertin!
