Would you push the button?

Hi,

"that $10m could randomly kill somebody you don't want to die."

Pretty good odds that it won't though.

Would I push the button? I share chelseafan's sentiments. Hope I would be able to resist temptation, but not sure. Knowing in what country the person is that would die would make a big difference (mainly to determine if I have a chance of knowing this person or not).

Hi,

"anybody who would push the button is a potential killer! just depends on the money offered! "

Yes, and no. I think that it is a lot easier to rationalize to oneself in the above scenario than shooting someone point blank range. You could even delude yourself that nobody really died; after all, you don't see the consequences.

I would push the button, by the way, during my sociology courses it was revealed that with similar experiences 9 people out of 10 would push the button.

Not necessarily out of greed but for some, out of morbid curiosity/cruelty too.

For men, a we all passed a test and it came out that 75% of the male students would rape "their ideal woman" given the "right" conditions.

Says a lot about human nature/behavior.

Why not push the button when many people get killed for far less than this amount?
