sanddawg1
What's schwarma? Some people call them kababs (Turkish origin I think); shaved chicken or meat cut from a spit on pita bread with a cardamom garlic sauce. Very good There are many variations S1 OOPs the OP question: Answer: To get away from Farang COWS like you!!! (When drinking I'm not that clever or tactful)

Pom Michael
Its a Dyslexics Shawarma In the US, I would normally use the term Gyro.
Mekong
Gyro is Greek for Shawarma AFIK. Who remembers Ali the Greek Shawarma Salesman who used to have his stall outside CEP / Living Room circa 2001? Funny guy he was. IMHO best Shawarma's in BKK now are to be found on Suk Soi 3/1, having spent too many years in the Middle East and being able to speak a little Arabic I have no problems at all when visiting the area but I do tend to find the Lebanese the friendliests. Best Shawarma in the world is at the Lebanese Restaurant at the Gas Station at the south end of Highway 1 just north of Doha Golf Club in Qatar. 2-3 times / week I send my driver on a 140 KM round trip to pick up a bagfull from there. doxx
She asked "What possibly brings you here to Pattaya?" So Gentlemen' date=' over to you. Do you have any appropriate retorts? [/quote'] I come to Pattaya for the beautiful beaches, the untouched natural environment, the total lack of commercialism and the deeply cultural atmosphere. Most of all, I appreciate the serene spirituality that pervades the city. Evel AWESOME!
