Hugh_Hoy
I suppose you never heard of land mines? :content: Cheap, durable, weather-resistent, on duty 24/7/365. Don't need to feed, clothe, house em. Don't need to provide them with health and retirement benefits. They are quite an effective means of stopping/slowing an advancing insurgency. HH [color:red]Smart thinking.[/color] The rivers near the border flow from South to North. When we get a flash flood, the water would carry the land mines into Arizona. Flashermac
Works there, doesn't it? Of course, it's purpose is to keep the North Koreans IN, not the South Koreans OUT. (The Great Wall of China had a similar purpose.)

USVirgin
Manning the border every 100 feet would take about 50 men per mile times 5 to cover all three shifts, Weekends, etc. X 2000 mile. Why do we need an agent every 100 feet? I've made putts (or, at least chip-ins) longer than that.
