I had bought the necessary number of drinks to avoid the BF , but they seemed to feel (there counter argument) I should have bought them all for the same girl. I pointed out that it would be difficult for a girl to drink that much in an hour or so, but they weren't biting. I think the idea is/was you were paying for the drinks she could sell if she stayed all night and if enough customers were interested. If I recall correctly, it was 8 lady's drinks and maybe 250 pesos. I seem to remember it being around $18usd for "long time" and included her monaey as well, if I remember right, this was maybe 12 years ago or so. I think they still use a similar system. Basically you pay the bar, and if there are no problems, the bar pays her. I think the going rate is $30usd for long time, so I hear, haven't been in ages, no real desire either. My position is still that the bar is justified in collecting a BF at 2am, 5am or anytime whether the girl met her customer in the bar or not. In this case, it is reasonable for OH to ask for the BF to be waived, but certainly the bar can make and stick to whatever rules they have. I'm surprised they even went so far as to give a decent rebuttal; must be OH's winning charm at work. For a good customer (or even just a nice guy) they might be willing to be flexible to keep his business, but at no point (even if he rang the bell 5 times) is anyone entitled to free anything. sayjann Posted April 16, 2002 Report Share Posted April 16, 2002 was with my regular girl and it was her day off. i happened to be on a night out and was in her bar when she arrived at 01:30 to collect her salary. she saw me(no woman in my lap thank god) and joined me. i said to her 'let's go home and boom boom' and she said i had to pay BF first. no way i said,she was not working,her night off and i would not pay the 500. she argued i had to pay BF and if i did'nt then she would get in trouble with the mamasan. i'm sorry but if it's her night off then i do not need to pay BF. if i had met her on the street and we had not gone to her bar then none of this would have arisen. anyway i said no and said i was going and walked out the bar and before i got 30 yards she was by my side. She works for the bar so any customer (you) should pay the BF whether she was working that day or not. If you were not a customer then a BF would be unreasonable. If she is leaving the bar, never to come back, then a fee would be unreasonable. But as long as she works for that bar, she should pay the BF. If the manager wants to look the other way in this case, or she wants to pay it herself, that's fine too. But if she doesn't like the rules she can go work somewhere else. Why the hell this came to be the prescribed term is older than my recollection perhaps. It's about on par with cliches cemented into pop Culture like Full Metal Jacket's use of "Me Luv You Lawng Time" -- which then later proliferated obviously into shock rap group 2 Live Crew, etc.. Sucky, Sucky, Same, Same... maybe it's just repetition, but there are words that make people's skin crawl, but "boom boom" is patronizing ---- considering the parties involved almost childlike... i have no alternative to propose, however. What is your quota though on delivery? For S/T -- How many go-arounds are you boys usually having 2? Do you ever have girls object to more than 1 if it took awhile? Obviously any extracurricular activities arranged beforehand are girl specific, and thus somewhat nonadmissable to the simple equation of S/T = what? I bring this up too because people are somewhat interested in standards for pricing -- so, what's your service standard? Obviously for L/T I guess it's up to your ability to perform, but do you find girls trying to just go for once? I heard someone say "me soaah too mutt" but in all seriousness? Too many variables, and in the end, because this is soley between b/g and punter, the girls would never agree to this. And they shouldn't. Up to them whether they want to go with 400 lb. drunken, smelly, foul 60 year old man for X baht, or handsum jai dee man like me for Y baht. I came to Thailand 1.5 years ago. I've never had a prositute before that, so don't know how it works elsewhere, but I'm thinking LOS is unusual in that the basic premise is that you don't discuss $$ until the sevice has been rendered. Without this standard in place, it's kind of like buying a car without driving it, or even being able to see 'under the hood'. I think this is great. Why? Too many variables. You agree on L/T for 2,500 Bt.? Fine. What if girl starts period, will not smoke (even though stated 'can'), is a star fish, etc. Not happy with your purchase? Well...you already agreed to 2,500 bt., so is going to be problem. Other side of the coin....you take same L/T, but your male buddy plays joke, and puts 300 mg. viagra in your singha.....poor girl gets shagged 8 times before breakfast. She not happy 2,500 bt. You can't possibly know how a B/F is going to play out, in the end. So forget the 'how much should I pay for......? That is a question that should be answered at the END of the transaction, not the beginning. Oh yea....original post. BF Quotas. Hey, that's an easy one. That is set by owner(s) of bar. Pay it, or don't pay it. Up to you. My understanding is that it's non-negotiable, so is a no-brainer. Don't want her that bad?...then don't take her.
