Old Hippie
15 hours ago, bust said: Does Australia medicate kids the school dreams “hyperactive?” Approximately 1 in 20 kids get diagnosed with some type of hyperactivity disorder however only about 40% will resort to medication. Is there a massive gang and drug problem? I wouldn't call it massive however it does exist and is generally ethnic associated. As for drugs the violence is generally over the control of distribution at a high level not street level. What is the overall crime rate/violent crime rate then and now? The average firearm homicide rate went down by about 42 percent in the first 7 years. There was a continued decline however the rate has increased again slightly over the last 5 years. Worth mentioning though there has not been a mass shooting since 1996. The last one I remember a man shot dead his wife, daughter, and four grandchildren, before committing suicide however this was considered a domestic violent crime. Does the average Australian dimwit fear the government and thinks he and his buddies can resist “government tyranny” by taking up arms? No. We don't elect Reality TV Grifters as leaders either. Are there white separatist movements in Australia? National Socialist Network fits that description however very small in numbers and are generally shut down pretty swiftly once they poke their collective heads up. And there you go, Apples to oranges. Trump, hate him and as embarrassed by him as I am, was right, a lot of the immigrants, mainly those here without documentation, are scum and are here for a bad reason/cause. We don’t do enough to them when caught, if we did, maybe they’d stop coming? We have I don’t know how many different “separtist” groups here in the USA, but it is a lot. ALL fear the government and hate the government, EXCEPT for the part that allows them to have guns and “train to resist government tyranny…” These assholes are full of shit. They think, *IF* they resist enough, then army units will join them and they will “take back America…” They won’t. Frankly, I don’t care if these people want “assault weapons” they can have them, but they shouldn’t be so damned easy to get! There are people who have complied with the law, gotten them and then bran amok…clearly there is a flaw in the law. The other key part I left out is the southern border…Australia does not share an easily crossed land border with another country, the USA does. This border is compromised in many areas and the government does nothing…want to bring in a few Cuban cigars? The border patrol will crack ass and stop you…want to smuggle in a few kilos of coke/meth/whatever or a few dozen people? Well go right ahead, we don’t want to be called racist and stop you…

Coss
OH's post above, draws some good points and I don't argue with them. --- ...The Drumpf from Germany said - "communities will “never be the same” after having been “inundated” with immigrants". This post is just to draw attention to Trump's out and out appeal to racism. Technically he's correct, the U.S.A. has been inundated by immigrants, since forever, that's the founding basis of the place. --- "On Monday, Donald Trump held a rally in Pennsylvania, where he once again repeated lies about Haitian immigrants in Springfield, Ohio. Trump told the crowd that Ohio and Pennsylvania communities will “never be the same” after having been “inundated” with immigrants. “They will never be — do you think Springfield will never be the same? The fact is, and I’ll say it now, you have to get them the hell out. You have to get them out. I’m sorry. Get them out,” Trump said. The crowd then erupted into applause with spectators chanting: “Send them back!” That kind of response from Trump’s rallygoers should hardly come as a surprise. Back in July, the crowd at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee held up signs reading “MASSDEPORTATION NOW!”... Mekong
Trumps parents weren’t immigrants, neither was his wife, immigrants are only brown in the eyes of the Fascist Republicans Also Melania was an illegal immigrant. Working as a model on a tourist visa, but the orange one never mentions that, who was somehow fast tracked for an “Einstein Visa” The EB-1A Visa is an employment-based immigrant visa category that serves top-performing experts. Historically, it has been an immigration pathway for luminaries in the sciences, arts, education, business, and athletics, Christ knows what Melania’s skill set was, but I don’t see blowing the future president on that list. Melania Visa 2 of therump’s wives were/are immigrants. I think therump’s grand parents (?) were immigrants, not that it matters when, but anyone Non-native, is an immigrant or descendent of immigrants. Years back, former first latex and supposed Lesbian, Eleanore Roosevelt addressed the Daughters of the American Revolution (for those who don’t know, this is one of many white Anglo Saxon exclusionary groups that basically think they own the country) her opening words were “greetings fellow immigrants…” their jaws dropped and many took offense! How dare they be called “immigrants!” These are white Protestant people, immigrants are often dark, speak different languages and may worship a different/the wrong god..! Coss
And just for giggles, here in NZ the first peoples were brown (~8-900 yrs ago) and the subsequent immigrants mostly white (~2-300yrs ago), until about 100 yrs ago when multicolour became the more the norm. So NZ was mainly Moa and Kiwi and Tuatara before then. No discernible government. What's changed?... they say...
