Internet entrepreneur Kim Dotcom has lost his latest court battle against extradition from New Zealand to the United States.


Dotcom and three others - Matthias Ortmann, Bram van der Kolk and Finn Batato - have been accused of more than a dozen criminal copyright charges relating to the now-defunct file-sharing website Megaupload​, which it is alleged shared pirated films and other content.


They face extradition to the US, which claims they were involved in a worldwide criminal organisation that led to an estimated loss to copyright holders of more than US$500 million.


After losing their case against extradition in the North Shore District Court, and then on appeal in the High Court, the four men had appealed to the Court of Appeal, which on Thursday rejected their arguments.....






He has been banned from more than one restaurant in NZ, usually because he insists they install a couch for him to sit on...

Stick, as extreme, as some of us, find the sentiment, you refer to, we're all adults here and appreciate robust discussion.

A friendly warning though: suggesting that a world figure be shot, could lead,  with the wonders of the internet and Ai, to you finding, yourself, or being already, on a list somewhere.

It maybe that you are prepared for such and think that, disruptions to your travel plans and increased attention from authorities is worth it.

This is why, we are careful about what we  post on the royals.

If you think I'm being alarmist, try a search on the phrase you stand by.

And then reflect on the huge resources, of organisations like Five Eyes whose information is not typically included in public Google search results.

And for more commentary if anyone is interested, in the state of politics in NZ, we had an election recently with three parties now  in negotiations to form the next government under our M.M.P. system.

It's been over a month and still no progress, soon they'll be running out of term, to govern in.
