Coss
Kong, you are of course correct in your summation. In my limited analysis of this whole Brexit thing, what I am seeing is Politicians, trying to remain, whilst giving the appearance of leaving. They still think that their judgement is best, and that if they tell the peasants what to think, it'll somehow work out. As others have alluded to, or even stated, on this board, there are "issues" in just about every country on the planet and these "issues" are all about the same thing, in my opinion. The proles, have just about had enough, of the politicians. What the particular issues are, are unimportant, except as topics for the inevitable placards. That would be awesome. They'd have to scrap televising the House of Commons though, you wouldn't be able to see anything for all the puff!
Coss
this Gatwick thing is disturbing: London's Gatwick airport suspends flights again after another reported drone sighting Sussex police, who have been dealing with the incident along with specialists from Britain's armed forces, had said that during the initial occurrences, almost 50 drone sightings were reported at the airport between 9:07pm on Wednesday and 4:25pm on Thursday..... How to f*ck up the plans of millions of people no terrorist skills needed...
radioman
Interesting stuff. I've been working with some people on some clever tech that can essentially capture drones. No guns or other silly stuff, its all smart tech done with protocol analysis and masquerading.. Works very very well. So far no one approached thinks this is a problem of any concern or where it is then it's a military issue. As usual a lot of those charged with making decisions about such things are living in the dim and distant past. When I first saw this I almost thought it could well be a company with some clever tech that wants to highlight that the need is real and the threat mitigation capability right now is essentially non-existent. I'm certainly expecting a few calls going forward once the questions start getting asked around the world at airport board meetings about protection from similar money losing stunts. Mekong
There are many Companies who have Anti Drone Systems but unfortunately the UK Home Secretary at the time ruled them illegal in the UK ... she had no legal background just spoke out of her arse. This was the same Home Secretary whom cut funding to the Police Force and see where that has led the UK Now that ex Home Secretary is the Prime Minister, stand up Teresa May Jerry was Correct STUPID WOMAN

In this case they used an Israeli system that is indeed highly capable. The fact they weren't ready with that capability in minutes is what I find disappointing. As for the rest of what you said, well no argument from me on that one though I'd cast my net a bit wider and say they're all a bunch of useless c...s for the most part. Mekong
If one believes in the Honours system which personally I dont, they are outdated and class bound https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2017/may/21/after-100-years-is-it-time-to-remove-empire-from-uk-honours-system
Coss
I'd believe in the honours system (NZ has one too) if the honours were for heroic rescues and such, tending the wounded in plagues, inventing open heart surgery, etc ...not for making the biggest monetary profit, or other power game machinations. And I feel an award coming on :: The Coss :: The only contender at the moment, is whomsoever, probably a soothsayer from ancient Egypt, discovered that crocodile excrement, mixed with sour milk, and formed into a pessary, is an effective spermicide, when placed in a woman's, you know, vagina. Women of those times used this method effectively as contraception. * What were they thinking about, at the time? *Ancient Inventions was a BBC historical documentary series released in 1998. It was presented by former Monty Python member Terry Jones and looked at great inventions of the ancient world. The series is split into 3 episodes, namely City Life, Sex and Love, and War and Conflicts
radioman
Aha, a meaningful and worthy topic. I would suggest that probably when faced with unwanted male advances, or even with willing partners who perhaps made somewhat demanding requests (maybe they were Greeks, who knows) ladies were known to reply with such phrases as "I'd rather stuff my snatch with crocodile shit mixed with sour milk". It probably led more than one to being challenged. It is of course equally possible that the reason for its effectiveness as a contraceptive was in no small part to its particular aroma. Could it perhaps have been this which led to a cooling of the ardour among male consorts or perhaps indicated they might try other orifices? Definitely worthy recipient of a Coss though, now how about some more?
