JAKARTA, June 17 (Reuters) - More than 350 doctors and medical workers have caught COVID-19 in Indonesia despite being vaccinated with Sinovac and dozens have been hospitalised, officials said, as concerns grow about the efficacy of some vaccines against more infectious variants.

This is of concern, as MLG has several family members all vacc'd up, with the Chinese Sinovac.

On the other hand, it was Indonesia, that was subject to a not insignificant, "collect/wash/dry/re-use" Covid swab scandal recently, so I would not be surprised if the doctors were injected, with small vials of something with Chinese writing on the label, as against a real Covid vaccine...

Gentlemen,

I am currently spending summer holidays in Portugal. A country that has been successfully fighting the virus over the last 6 months by implementing strict rules how to behave in public. Successfully, to repeat it. As per tomorrow Friday the city of Lisbon shall be cut off from any traffic in- and out due to a sudden dramatic increase of the new Delta-version of the virus. Bad news for people thinking it shall be over soon . It won´t. Tell this Khun Prayut (?) if you see him .

Sorry this is German only. It says 350 Indonesian doctors have caught the virus although fully treated by Chinese Sinovac.

No vaccine stops people actually contracting the virus and then testing positive, the vaccine enables your immune system to fight it off and keep you from getting very ill.

Wrong, Sir. It stops the infection at a very high percentage which then depends on the vaccine which is used. It does prevent people from becoming very sick at almost 100 %.

For an evaluation of the Jakarta-spread one would have to know the total number of Sinovac-customers in Indonesia or Jakarta. 350 infected doctors would be insignificant between for example 10.000.000 vaccinated. Some vaccinated still get the Covid anyway.

It ain´t all that easy.

Bolsonaro's rule is 'worse threat than coronavirus,' say Brazilians as nation passes 500,000 deaths

2019-02-04T200509Z_1_LYNXNPEF131KD_RTROP

https://edition.cnn.com/2021/06/19/americas/brazil-covid-deaths-intl-cmd/index.html

excerpt:

Bolsonaro has repeatedly downplayed the gravity of the pandemic, calling Covid-19 a "little flu." In addition, since the World Health Organization (WHO) declared the global pandemic, he has participated in at least 84 mass gatherings, according to a survey by the Brazilian newspaper O Globo...

...A study published in Lancet Journal by Hallal and his team at the beginning of the year estimated that three of every four deaths could have been avoided if Brazil followed basic pandemic protocols. Four of every five deaths could have been prevented if the government had fought the disease as well as the average country, Hallal's team estimated.

excerpt:

At this stage, the long-term impacts for the millions infected are also impossible to predict, but a new study offers a grim picture of the future: 23% of people who had Covid-19 in the US developed one type of chronic cardiac, respiratory, neurological or psychiatric diseases.

______

You could argue that the psychiatric diseases were pre-existing :)

It’s a bloody joke, they have mooted the construction camps for days and most workers have already fucked off.

They won’t declare a full lockdown because “People will travel home to the provinces” err STOP THE INTERPROVINCIAL BUSES, anyone caught interprovincial in a Private Vehicle, confiscate it
