Maybe you should have told the doctor you are a BKK party guy and he would have tweeked up the pacemaker a bit to withstand the stress of BKK nightlife! It hardly hurt at all ... they gave me pain and anti-anxiety meds when I asked ... through the I.V. ... so it was pain free & I was relaxed! Usually in Boston they place the generator under the skin in the shoulder area. I had the last generator implanted in Lancaster, PA ... where they do a better job at concealing the device ... they place it deeper, in the breast ... it's hard to see, and this allows more flexibility ... great technique if you like to swim. Since the procedure, I haven't even needed a single tylenol! Glad it's over and done with; and I'm anxious to return ASAP! ? time to yank the post about being depressed!
