re: I do not, and have not found Isreal's right to exist in the bible. I have believed that Isreal should exist because of the 1948 resolution.

the Jews are God's Chosen People, and Israel is God's Land.

According to the Bible, particularly in [color:red]Genesis, the Land of Israel was promised as an everlasting possession to the descendants of the Jewish patriarchs Abraham, Isaac and Jacob by God, making it the Promised Land.

The Tanakh (or Hebrew Bible, referred to also as the "Old Testament" by Christians) contains several descriptions of the borders of the land.[1] These descriptions encompass a region that extends [color:red]from the "River of Egypt"[2] to the Euphrates. [color:red]Areas known to be included are the modern State of Israel, the West Bank (Judea and Samaria), the Gaza Strip, and parts of modern-day Syria and Lebanon.

[color:red]God, "Your throne shall be established for ever." Then David establishes a mighty empire, conquering Zobah and Aram (modern Syria), Edom and Moab (roughly modern Jordan), the lands of the Philistines, and much more.

The modern State of Israel ×?×?×?נת ×?שר×Â×? (Medinat Yisrael) derived and based its name on the earlier usages and applications of "Israel" during Jewish history.

The name and usage of Children of Israel ×?× ×? ×?שר×Â×? (Bnei Yisrael - literally: "Sons of Israel" refers to Jacob's twelve sons, also known as the Israelites) predates the coinage of the term "Land of Israel" because Jacob/Israel's family spent little time in Canaan itself as they were told by God to move to Egypt where they became well known as the "Children of Israel" (meaning Jacob's direct descendants) a large nation, as recounted many times in the book of Exodus and onwards. Thus, according to the Hebrew Bible, when the ancient Children of Israel left Ancient Egypt, and went on to conquer the lands of the Canaanites, they eventually established the united Kingdom of Israel ×?×?×?×?ת ×?שר×Â×? (Malchut Yisrael) and lived there as the "Nation of Israel" (Am Yisrael) ×¢× ×?שר×Â×? .

Thus the physical areas and boundaries of the Kingdom of Israel (×?×?×?×?ת ×?שר×Â×?) monarchy that were inhabited by the Children of Israel (×?× ×? ×?שר×Â×?), also called the Nation of Israel (×¢× ×?שר×Â×?), came to be known and indentified during Jewish history as the Land of Israel (×Âרץ ×?שר×Â×?) until the present time.
