CTO
I am guilty of misleading the conversation - Defamation is the correct term as per PharLap statements - slander is common term but incorrect as pointed out by PharLap as well! Ahh - the Gabba - I only went there for the fun never the cricket! A school I went to wasn't too far from there. Only reason I know this is the QC and Lawyer I use in Australia specialize in defamation.

Coss
Trouble with australian law - to prove damages you need to be able attribute and prove a financial amount Me saying that your a bad man who eats lamb pie and comes to Thailand too often - as much as you may not want it known publicly - unless it causes you financial loss - there is no "gain" Damage to reputation alone isn't enough. And knowing you, you are more than likely correct. But my point is not the likely outcome in a case in court, it is the slapping of the womin in the first instance. To protect the OPs reputation 1st. Whiskey, mmmm... You around in Jan? Coss
