Can you call an editor and ask him not to mention what you falsely claim are your sincere denials of adultery because of the effect such mention would have on your cancer-stricken wife and still be a person of integrity? Why do you only seem to care if the liar is a democrat? As mentioned by several, lots of politicians have lied ... democrats and republicans, liberals and conservatives and centrists. The question you seem to keep ducking is, why is it OK for a Republican president to lie about the rationale for that has cost billions of dollars and thousands of lives, but it is immoral for a democratic ex-senator to boink a staffer and lie to his wife about it? Why is it OK for a Democrat to get a blowjob in the White House, but it is OK for a Republican senator to divorce his wife on her death bed? Likely, you will ignore this, along with other valid queries posted to you because you do not have an answer that fits with your warped sense of morality. However, I don't think you really want a discussion of Republicans so much as you want to distract people from discussing embarrassing Democrats. Yes, the discusion is about John Edwards, but when an analogy is made of a Republican doing something worse, you claim it can not be discussed. John and Elizabeth Edwards both lied to their supporters, repeatedly and in a damaging and cynical way. Some people argue that the lies don't matter because they were "about sex" but that is nonsense. The lies were about trustworthiness and integrity. It is illogical to aver that all politicians are liars so it doesn't matter. Your quote Bucko ... apparently the thread is about lying, and how the lies relate to trustworthiness and integrity. Yet you claim McSame is a man of honor when he did the same thing? He had his new marriage license before he was divorced -- that technically makes him a bigamist along with being a serial adulterer. I think Edwards is a shyster who would make a terrible President (or Vice President). I think the current revelations regarding his affair and his and his wife's subsequent lies regarding same show (1) Edwards to be an unusually dishonest and self-serving politician, (2) Edwards' true-believing supporters to be fools and dupes, and (3) the MSM to be corrupt abbetors of socialism. It has everything to do with John McCain since you hold a double standard. You condemn a guy who is out of the Presidential picture, yet give a free pass to a guy who is on the ticket.
