Seeking an ordinary Western meal, we stumbled into the Pub in the basement of the Landmark. Place was empty other than a few UK lads. Business types. In LOS wilst employed in SE Asia. Very informative conversation. They filled us rookies in on the correct pricing and etiquette. Price was 500 baht long time with no tip in those days. Price has obviously gone up. But I have never paid more than 1,500 long time. If you pay more than that you are an idiot ! Note: no offense to all the good idiots on this board ! We split up the first night when he said he wanted to stay out hit the disco. Next morning he tells me that he found a girl but she wanted 10K to come back to his hotel (st). He told her that was too much and they agreed on 7k short time. He thought he had negotiated well (saving 3K) until I told him the one I took that night had asked for 1.5K and stayed all night.
