Don't think I ever heard of a raid around Patpong but another way for the BiB to get some tea money. As the police were not involved in the raid (it was done by commerce dept officials) , other then quelling the subsequent riot, not sure how they would get tea money for this. I think that within the commerce dept, and the higher levels of government, there is a genuine effort to reduce the pirated goods available in Thailand.
