Its a tough call. I've always considered myself right of center for most of my life. Fiscally conservative, socially moderate although I've changed my view on some things the last several years (gay marriage for example) and would now be deemed socially liberal or left of center.

I consider any confiscation of one man's earnings and giving it to somebody else socialistic...and that is being polite.

If you left "center-right" and moved to "center-left", you probably departed the majority of the country (from what I've read). That is, it has been repeated by different sources that most people in the U.S. are "center right". (That is where I was placed by the "political compass" that was posted here a few months ago.)

The foregoing diatribe probably explains why I personally am adament in opposition to Obama's initiatives (in the main). I'm not against EVERY idea he has floated, but probably 90% of them. And in the 10% of those ideas that I share with him, I don't think he goes far enough.

Oh well, get ready to mark your next ballot for Romney and Brown. 55555555555 (Holy Cow, Batman; TWO New Englanders? Maybe not.)

Aw, poor Obama is pissed off at the Supremes for deciding anyone can contribute to candidates. Shades of FDR, when he wanted to expand the number of Supreme Court justices so he could pack the court with people who would overall those nasty justices who found some of his projects unconstitutional. Are the Dems really trying to become the minority party? They are working hard at it.

Screw the separation of powers. It's a quaint old idea anyway. Welcome Big Brother!

Dubai, Kasachstan, international Oil companies, and others are looking forward to put money on US politicans of their liking.

As I understand it, foreign companies, governments and individuals are still forbidden to contribute to US candidates. No change in that. :dunno:

Don't fool yourself. That's a toothless law.

The largest companies are multinationals, which play the countries against each other.

Even though the headquarters and most of the workforce are in US, what will you do if Dubai, China or Russia is/becomes the largest shareholder (which means they don't need to own it, but control it nevertheless)?

Good luck for sorting this out and keeping your elections clean (which are dirty enough anyway).

PS: Remember the "Buy American" campaign?

Ok, I'll bite, what city was it?

When the City was a village, it had an ordinance making it illegal to carry a gun concealed.

In 1881 the City passed an ordinance making it illegal to carry a gun.

When the City did most of these things, especially looking at bringing in the Telephone to the city, the City government was Republican.

All of this was done before the [color:red]'big' gun battle the City is known for. That battle is known as the [color:red]'gunfight at the OK Corral'. The City, [color:red]Tombstone, Territory of Arizona famed for Wyatt Earp, Doc Holliday and other characters.

The County was named after Cochise and Cochise Stronghold could be seen from the window of one of the City's newspapers. Geronimo was in the area, sometimes within seeing distance of the City.

As [color:red]'bad' as Tombstone was, the city was progressive and the City's had an interest in helping the people such as paying the medical bills of those who could not afford it.
