Capitol Police had cameras outside Pelosi home that weren't monitored at break-in: Sources

The U.S. Capitol Police had cameras outside the home of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, but they were not monitored, according to three sources familiar with the matter.

Capitol Police saw the flash of police lights on the camera, rewound the video and saw the break-in, according to the sources.

It is unclear whether or not the cameras should have been monitored at the time....

It appears that the special portal is real.

code for the page references things that you'd expect from such a thing, e.g.

  "code removed ="https://facebook.com/security/hsts-pixel.gif?c=3.2.5" width="0" height="0" style="display:none" />"

I imagine that the story is correct, Yahoo tends to be accurate, despite being mainstream...

White House Reacts After Getting Fact-Checked by Twitter

The new Twitter is a real hit.  Under Elon Musk’s leadership, Twitter is already fact-checking the lies spread by the Biden Administration.  The official White House Twitter account falsely credited Joe Biden for giving seniors the biggest increase in Social Security checks in a decade.  Truth be told, the increase was mandated by law due to the the record increase in inflation.  Twitter fact-checked the tweet on Monday, causing embarrassment to those involved.  The tweet was deleted early Tuesday.  Nice try Biden..  His administration might have gotten away with that on the old Twitter, but there’s a new sheriff in town now.  White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre was asked about the deleted tweet and her answer left something to be desired…  The Daily Wire shared a screenshot of the now-deleted tweet:

Update: White House deleted the tweet.  Love the new Twitter

Biden claims victory for giving out larger Social Security checks.  Twitter fact checks it saying that this is because of record inflation.

Seniors are getting the biggest increase in the Social Security checks in 10 years through President Biden's leadership.

The White House just found out it can’t tweet out Joe Biden’s false statements and have the company’s old regime cover it up.

I was waiting for Biden to take credit for the increase in the COLA.  I would rather not have the increase if we could go back to 0 inflation.  Biden is making this country poorer, this is what he should be taking credit for.  Glad Musk owns Twitter.

America’s billionaires have spent a record $880 million on the 2022 midterm elections so far – most of their spending has been in favor of Republicans, three to two. Spending on state and federal races during this cycle, meanwhile, have already passed the inflation-adjusted record of $7.1 billion in 2018 and are projected to exceed $16.7 billion in total. The top 1% of donors, measured by income, have contributed about 38% of the total spent. (OpenSecrets / New York Times / CNBC / Bloomberg)

The Justice Department granted immunity to a Trump aide in exchange for his grand jury testimony in the Mar-a-Lago case. Kash Patel appeared before the grand jury last month and refused to answer questions from prosecutors by repeatedly invoking his Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination. A federal judge, however, granted Patel immunity from prosecution on any information he provides to the investigation and compelled him to testify. Prosecutors had argued that there was no reason that Patel would be prosecuted based on the kinds of questions they were asking. Patel’s grand jury appearance hasn’t yet been scheduled.
