Al
Just got back from opening day. While not a great movie, good enough and I am glad I went. One critic said "all spice and no meat" but i go for ahaan j anyway. I wanted to rent the original, but it will take a long time to become available but they were selling it on amazon for $5 so i copped. Has yet to arrive. Say what you want but it was good to get a fix of Krung Thep.

redwood13
Never a good sign when the critics don't get preview copies or screenings. "the folks at Lionsgate have been kind enough to spread the word that there are no plans to show Bangkok Dangerous to critics in advance. Credit to Lionsgate, for at least owning up to what theyâ??re doing. There will be no press screenings, which means no way for critics to warn you that it sucks before you shell out money based on the cache of Nic Cageâ??s name." Hugh_Hoy
Mention of Cage's name is enough for me. Don't need to read any reviews. In fact, I've been toying with a movie story that casts Cage, Stallone, Cruise, Costner and a couple of others in a "Final Showdown" where they kill off each other and never appear on the screen again. HH
