LOL no attack, just so easy to rile you up 55555555

specially when the subject is the iranian navy, and you jump in to blame the deaths in Iraq on Israel LOL.

Well, there were certainly no WMD found which was the sole reason for going to war...or so Bush, Blair and Howard told us.

So what was the war really all about then?... obviously oil and protection of Israel.

I suggest you google and wiki some of Bushit's top advisors (all dual Israeli US citizens) who led USA and her allies into the futile war on Iraq based on a pack of lies dreamt up by

more here

And they are all at it again..Gingrich, Romney and Santorum a trio of chickenhawks rallying the troops on behalf of the Israeli lobby to sucker you dopey Americans into a war against Iran 10,00kms away, which has never done you any harm at all, despite a long list of grievances of USA and UK meddling in its affairs to steal its oil.

Now you have lost it, Sellafield is not a Nuclear Power Station, if you are going to quote "Facts" to support your argument at least get your facts right.

Nitpicking.

It was a nuclear power station the last time I hiked in Cumbria years ago. So now it's a reprocessing plant converting the spent fuel from nuclear reactors into plutonium. Big diff eh?

So you're saying you would get upset if it were still a nuclear power station and Israel bombed it, but you'd just be slightly miffed if they attacked your nuclear reprocessing plant :doah:

Israel vows to defend itself as Iranian warships enter Suez Canal

ISRAEL will ultimately decide on its own whether to strike Iranian nuclear facilities, its military chief of staff says, as a senior US official arrived for talks on Iran.

''Israel is the central guarantor of its own security; this is our role as army. The State of Israel should defend itself,'' Lieutenant-General Benny Gantz told state-owned television.

''We must follow the developments in Iran and its nuclear project, but in a very broad manner, taking into account what the world is doing, what Iran decided, what we will do or not do,'' he said.

In recent weeks, there has been speculation that Israel was getting closer to mounting a pre-emptive strike on Iran's nuclear program, though Israel has denied reaching such a decision.

Tensions between Iran and Israel have been simmering, with Iranian warships entering the Mediterranean through the Suez Canal in a show of ''might''. It was only the second time since the Islamic revolution in 1979 that Iranian warships had passed through the canal.

Reports suggested they had docked in Tartus, the main port for Iran's embattled ally regime, Syria.

Last week, Iran said it had installed another 3000 centrifuges to increase its uranium enrichment capabilities and was stepping up exploration and processing of uranium yellowcake.

And Israel blamed a recent wave of attacks targeting Israeli diplomats on agents of Tehran, allegations that Iran denies.

US National Security Adviser Tom Donilon at the weekend began talks with Israeli officials on a range of issues including Iran, two weeks ahead of a visit to Washington by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for talks with President Barak Obama on the same topic.

A recent article in The Washington Post said that US Defence Secretary Leon Panetta believed Israel might strike Iran's nuclear installations in the coming months.

According to General Gantz, Iran was ''a world and regional problem''.

Iran has been slapped with four sets of UN sanctions and a raft of unilateral US and European Union measures over its nuclear drive, which Tehran maintains is peaceful.

Countries seek nuclear weapons for one reason only. Its for their own protection. Its the same mentality that Americans buy handguns for their homes.

Having a nuke is pretty much a guarantee you will not be invaded. Pakistan, N. Korea, two countries with either nutcase groups or a nutcase ruler has them and will not use them in a first strike scenario. Iran wants them for the same reasons Israel has them. Iran has seen America invade its neighbors on both sides.

I'm not an Iran apologist. I despise the regime in charge but it will not use them to attack Israel in some sort of first strike. It wants them so that America and/or Israel will NOT attack it.

Agreed, having nuclear weapons discourages an invasion, but what you failed to do is take it to the logical conclusion, which is nuclear weapons prevent an invasion regardless of what you do to provoke it. Iran wants the nuclear weapons so they can do whatever they want thinking the weapons will prevent any consequences for those actions.

That sounds exactly like Israel's behaviour for the last 60 years.

Perhaps if Iran gets nuclear weapons then it will be a level playing field, and it might bring Israel to its senses to make peace with its neighbours.

There's been a peace deal on the table with complete recognition within secure borders from all Arab countries and Iran since 2002. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arab_Peace_Initiative

The ball has always been in Israel's court, but they just keep greedily stealing more land and practising apartheid against the 3 million Palestinians under its occupation.

That would be the peace deal that on the same day in 2002 it was announced, 30 Israeli civilian were killed by Hamas suicide bomber attending a Passover seder.

Good start, don't you think?
