mickey707
OK, bypassing all the typical tourist/farang haunts such as Nana, Patpong, Cowboy etc, Where would someone socialise in Bangkok with the hopes of meeting someone for a long term relationship. I would genuinely love to meet someone for a serious commitment. I've read so many posts and there are so many negative stories out there. I'd like to avoid the P4P scene and meet someone who i can have a genuine honest....dare i say monogomous relationship with. Is it possible ? drogon
U can find a great woman with whom to spend the rest of your life anywhere......I would just say, trust your heart and be cautious. none of my experiences with GTG worked and the only woman (western or Asian) with who I am happy (and whom I trust) is a BG...... ..
Is it possible ? Yes, but all but impossible unless you live here. If you do live here, then you meet girls in all the same places you do in farangland: at work, on the bus, in a shop, at the supermarket, etc. There is no one magical place... CTO
<> Then avoid it! As said above, they exist everywhere, but you'll need to be here long term, and expect most times things to move slower than a quick bar fine, weeks Vs minutes! However, as you guessed, you'll be well rewarded.

colorwolf
... Where would someone socialise in Bangkok with the hopes of meeting someone for a long term relationship. I would genuinely love to meet someone for a serious commitment. ... so, do you live here? do you plan to live here? if so, what makes you ask a question like this? don't you know where to socialise in the place you're from? if so, what makes you think the process is different here? if you're not living here, why would you pick bangkok as the place to find "someone for a long term relationship" and not london, tokyo, buenos aires or boise (idaho)? as mentioned above, you can get to know people anywhere...just have the right attitude...i've sourced friends from clubs, restaurants, cinema, bus, shops, hotel, beach...few of these encounters developed into "a serious commitment"...or into any sort of commitment for that matter... zzzz
I remember being in Honduras few yrs ago, in a seaside town called La Ceiba, and there was a woman that hung around, trying to set up unions/marriages between mountain girls and expats that lived in the area. Having someone like that to set up a meeting with a beautiful virgin woman from the Honduran mountains may not be a bad thing for some. I imagine there are match makers like that in LOS. colorwolf
just replace "La Ceiba" with Pattaya, "a woman" with mamasan, and "mountain girls" with Isaan farmchicks, and it starts sounding rather familiar...few "beautiful virgins" though...
