OK....I have been to thailand the last two years and have read plenty of guff about the pitfalls of thai/farang relationships. Hell i've even had English guys here warning me off thai women because they only want your money.....pretty funny as the last mate warning me off had just been through his second VERY costly divorce to a good old english Rose....LOL.....in sickness and in wealth :smirk: And in any case you can't tar everyone with the same brush. I have made many thai contacts through contact sites and am learning thai.....jees !!!....thats not easy !! Like most farang visitors you get recommended all the typical haunts where its all P4P. So i've been down that road and am familiar with the ....my buffalo's sick story etc, and had first hand experience of a young lady i met calling me up and asking to send her money. So.... All I was asking was ...What other places in Bangkok would anyone recommend to possibly meet thai ladies that are not just looking for a quick pay off. I'm not likely to wander up to some girl working in a shop and invite her to dinner. I don't think that would be very tasteful. And No i have no intention of rushing into something....Just getting to know someone....If it meant just socialising and dinner with someone whilst getting to know them and going home without ever sharing the same bed then i'd be more than happy,and in the long term ,relocating there or living here would not be a problem. Well mate, you need game if you are gonna meet gals. If you are too shy to chat up some bird you meet in a shop or whatever, then you'll never have success. Take chances. You get shot down nine times out of ten. But there's that 10%. It took six months of (almost begging) asking for a date to get my ex-wife to go out with me, and we were happily married for the better part of 15 years. And my current GF took five weeks of asking for the first date. You want non-P4P? You gotta work it. And be prepared to be shot down more than bag a win. You in, big guy? Or are you afraid? And sorry to be cruel, but if you were not able to pick up chix in farangland, then you'll be hopeless here too. See above. And as I said in an earlier post, you meet desirable girls everywhere. You just need to man up, and chat them up, and hope that your salesmanship skills are there to close the deal. And know that the hit rate is about 10-15% (unless you're Brad Pitt or George Clooney). Although there is one at Robinson's Bangrak selling shoes , sounds promising . I galantee she good heart . Not that I would buy shoes at Robinson's .
