Thats the whole point, who in his sane mind would like to "survive" on 10k per month ? Dinner for 2 last night was also 10K here in farangland. We live a good life, no way I will take a few steps back when retiring or / when moving to Thailand. I'm perplexed as to way farang guys move to Thailand to live in a shithole to survive on rice and fishsause. The novelty will wear off quickly. YMMV of course. I know several retired farang that live off the US social security, which for them is $1200/month and they live quite meager and watch every baht they spend. 10K, nahhh, not for me.
