Not discounting some who have a racial bias but I think its anti-Liberal thing. Pelosi, Reid and others are getting just as bad if not worse at times.

I still maintain its partly some bitterness over the election, actual disagreement over what is deemed liberal policies with a touch of socialism and a good amount of it being a cause celebre politically to rally people to vote Republican in the next election. What percentage of each, I wouldn't try to guess but I do believe all three are components of the feelings against it.

You guys got choices A, B, and C.

Unfortunately, it's a fail. The correct answer is D.

D. The bill just ain't that damn good.

Ok, now I'm really gone.

If I don't drive/own a car, there is no farkin way that the state can force me to buy auto insurance!

If I am not sick, if I just say NO, like I can with Medicrap, I do NOT have to buy the insurance.

Now, they want a different game and TELL you WTF to buy...not with the present constitution...10th Amendment!!!

The Fed is completely out of control!!! now is planning to add 16,500 employees to the Fed payrolls to police this Obamacrap...it just keeps getting worse!!!

Point taken...but really even using this logic it seems clear they can force you to buy health insurance. Auto insurance is forced om you should you choose to drive here, ergo health insurance can be forced on you should you choose to live here. The SAT formula would read, auto insurance is to driving as health insurance is to living.

Similiarly, if you choose to live here, they can force you to pay for social security insurance even if you choose to not get old, and charge you taxes to pay for schools and roads even if you are a shut-in who never uses either one of them.

Obama smeared with Hitler, Antichrist labels

AMERICANS who suggest Barack Obama should rot in hell are apparently serious.

Nearly a quarter of Republicans believe the Democrat US President "may be the Antichrist", according to a survey yesterday.

An even greater number compared him to Hitler.

Mr Obama was jubilant this week after securing his healthcare reform plan which delivers universal care to the nation's poor for the first time.

But his triumph seems only to have inflamed his critics among the evangelical Christians from America's heartland who kept George W. Bush in power for eight years and have demonised his successor.

According to the Harris poll, 24 per cent of Republicans and 14 per cent of Americans overall thought Mr Obama was the Antichrist - the term used in the New Testament to refer to the adversary of Christ and harbinger of the apocalypse.

The survey also showed that 38 per cent of Republicans and a fifth of all Americans thought Mr Obama was "doing many of the things Hitler did".

US liberals call the phenomenon Obama derangement syndrome - a pathological hatred of the President, posing as patriotism.

Mr Obama has been trying to correct misconceptions about him since he launched his presidential campaign.

But the survey, published on the Daily Beast online news site, suggested 57 per cent of Republicans and 32 per cent of Americans still think he is a Muslim, despite his repeated assertions that he is a Christian.

And 45 per cent of Republicans and a quarter of Americans think Mr Obama "was not born in the US and so is not eligible to be president".

Many apparently believe he was born in Kenya, rather than Hawaii.

The White House has also been at pains to deny that the President is a socialist.

But 67 per cent of Republicans and 40 per cent of Americans, overall, believe he is.

Meanwhile, Mr Obama yesterday awkwardly kept a promise he made to ensure passage of historic healthcare legislation, pledging the Administration would not allow federal funds to pay for elective abortions covered by private insurance.

Unlike Wednesday, when a beaming Mr Obama signed the healthcare law in a nationally televised ceremony, interrupted repeatedly by applause, the White House refused to permit coverage of the event.

It occurred in the Oval Office in the presence of a small group of anti-abortion Democratic lawmakers who had extracted the commitment over the weekend. The President supports abortion rights.

The FBI announced it was investigating threats received by 10 Democratic lawmakers in recent days.
