Their goal is to break the embargo. Why? So Hamas can more easily acquire munitions? I'm no fan of Israel and believe it is time for the USA to distance itself from Israel in terms of aid and political alignment. But I can understand the concerns of the Israeli government with respect to it's desire to minimize the smuggling of weapons of war into Gaza. As noted elsewhere, the U.S. Coast Guard takes action in reponse to possible drug smuggling on the high seas. The U.S. embargoed Cuba back in the 60's with a well-known attempt to keep Soviet ships from delivering missiles to that island. N. Korean ships have been put on sanctions by the U.N. HH I agree, with you. Now, almost nightly small arms and missles, are shot at Israel. I would not give them a chance to get bigger weapons either. NOW, there is another vessel 1,200-ton cargo ship Rachel Corrie on the way, to try to break the blockade. Everyone knows it, if the UN is so concerned, they should tell them now, not to try, rather than complain later. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has no plans to ease up on Gaza blockade. As long as, they are given 5 minutes to man the life boats, I have no problem with whatever. This is about the only way, I can think of to prevent another try next week. Half the guys were in love with her, but some bunghole captain seduced her, knocked her up and did a runner on her. The medics wanted to hunt down the bastard and shoot him, since most of them wanted to marry her. (Commissioned officers had private quarters to cavort in; EM did not. Supposedly, the captain had asked her to marry him, which is how he got her into the sack.) Then there was the doufas SP/4 from the attached 15th Light Equipment Company who decided to sneak out of the firebase and get laid one night. Charlie chose that night to fire mortars at us, and the USAF sent up a gunship to spray the area. Spooky got a bit careless with his fire (as usual) and managed to hit the brothel near the hill tribe village. Mini-gun rounds ripped through the middle of the bed the guy was sharing with his "companion". The gal was wounded, but he got away with simply shitting himself. He was stuck outside the firebase until morning, when he showed up at the gate and asked to come in, still shaking lke a leaf. Story was he never went out to get laid again after that.
