mai_chop_gohok Posted October 17, 2008 Report Share Posted October 17, 2008 There seems to be a missunderstanding : Viagra or simular are not on this narcotic class lists as far as I can see, as the lists are to old for that, and Mekong never claimed that, if u read him carefully, but plz correct me, if I´m wrong. But valium (diazepam) is definitly on that lists and it´s class 4 (which is somehow acceptable in my eyes, as it´s rather addictive and (ab-)used all over the world by drug users) and that´s how they could have given him some real shit at station and court, if he wouldn´t have paid. The police know this and as such any offence a farang is found to be committing has its price dependent on the severity, and as crazy as it may seem to us possesion of unprescribed Vit V or Kamagra is the same classification as LSD in Thailand. Whilst the traditional shake down for tea money is the BiB MO, fake cops are known throughout the world. However, maybe better they were BiB and not mafia hoods. Is there any requirement under Thai law for the police to produce identification? I guess that is a silly question, fake ID (and if in Thai) is easy to reproduce and probably totally unreadable by your average western visitor. The kamagra is a joke, all a judge could do is give the pharmcist, who sold it, shit for copyright or tax and duty stuff, not so for viagra, but that´s just nothing but a guess too. It´s not important if that story is true or not, maybe it just got posted to start a discussion to find out, what can happen and what not and how the rules and laws really are, actually the example of kamagra and valium is pretty good for that in my eyes, but I don´t know the laws, so what can I say ?
